Aw, too cute! I love geckos. We never have "surprise lizards" where I am!

My aunt and uncle live down in Victoria, TX. They get geckos in the house all the time, plus the occasional anole-type lizard. Just scoop him up and take him outside.

This just reminded me lol. I live in Toronto so no lizards here except amphibian type like newts and salimanders. I remember playing outside in the rain as a kid with my friend and we were playing under a eaves-trough and this little tiny gecko looking thing came flying out and we let him go in some bushes.

I have never seen anything like it since and to this day I can't come up with a logical explanation as to what or how that happened.. maybe they do live up here?

Gecko for sure. With missing tail, which is where they store there fat so you'll need to get him some good ASAP! These guys drink from standing water, so he also needs a gecko safe water bowl. They are nocturnal as well. You plan in keeping it or releasing back to the wild?

Definitely a gecko and looks like the same species that are EVERYWHERE in Florida. They would literally cover the front porch of where I was staying at in Gainesville, FL.

Because they would find themselves in their new "forever" homes, huh? Lol

I love geckos and have some myself, but for some reason, these guys just creep me out

I own leopard geckos, and I have to agree with the above, for some reason, that thing freaks me out. And this is coming from a woman currently housing a sick anole on her kitchen table with a broken tail. I'd have to shew that thing away. Yikes.

They are all over down here, mainly on the concrete walls of the employee parking garage at work. The walls are painted nearly the same color, so they really blend in, and I only see them out at night. They creep me out as well, I think because they are nearly see-through. Gross!

Mediterranean house gecko. One snuck back with me after vacationing in Florida through my luggage. When I got home I left the luggage by my steps and about a day later I saw him just sitting by the steps. Long story short I caught him, kept him in a cricket keeper and fed him crickets.
Ironic because the crickets ended up completely eating him, like completely. Lol.
It was really cool watching him hunt the crickets though.. He would watch upside down, run at a cricket and nab the whole thing in his mouth and run back to the top.

I feel bad I laughed at this.

Lol yeah. I wasn't experienced at the time or else I probably wouldn't have put in a dozen crickets roughly the same size as him. Oops. Lol

Oh god it just gets worse lol I'm seriously dying laughing. But I'm trying to stifle it because my beardie is passed out on me. This story is tragic and hilarious. That poor gecko!!
