need help....

He looks healthy from the pics. Is he breathing normally? There could be something stuck in his throat or somewhere but I think he would be gasping or something if that was it.
Are you sure he isn't grumpy at you or something in his cage? It is odd that he is just leaving it open, I think he would be hissing or making some kind of noises if something was wrong.
I don't see how he could be hot at 80 degrees, maybe he just likes being cold
I'd keep an on him and if he is still doing it after a while, if you get really worried or if he stops eating/drinking and acting funny then get him checked out.

he breaths normal, acts normal ,colors normal but the only problem is that he openes his mouth.
today when i turned on the lights he went to the basking spot with his mouth open.
he ate 3 roaches and drank water.now he opens his mouth for 5 min or so.

This morning he opened his mouth aprox 6 times for about 30sec-1 min.
this happend between 7:00 am and 14:00am.
After 14:00 he stoped doing this and around 15:30 i gave him a shower for 15 minutes.
In the shower he inflated very much his chest/lungs so i guess he was breathing very well.
After the shower i heard a noise from his nose, this noise sounded like when pple get flu or cold .
This noise happend just once, dont know if this noise is just becose he had water on/in his nostrils from the shower or its a RI sign.
Things went well for about 1-2 hours.
I found a molted white dubia and i offred him since he loves them so much.
he snaped it in 1 second .after he ate the dubia ,the started again to open his mouth for about 10-20 mins with a few min brakes and again he kept his mouth open for 30 mins i guess.
During this periods he had basking positions, talied curled,body-belly inflated, just like he was basking but with his mouth opened.
This is funny becose when he did this he wasnt under any bulb-basking or uvb bulb.
Basking temps were 89-91F ,cage temps 84-86F.
At around 18:00 am temps dropped around 80 F -sleeping temps.
At 18:30 he oppened his mouth for the last time this day,and light were off and he went to sleep.
Long and exausting day....hope he will be better.

I wonder why this happened imediatly after he ate that dubia.maybe he has an irritation or a screatch on his throat /tongue?
But then again if he had something wrong about his tongur or throat i guess he would eat less or not at all.
Today he ate 5-6 red runner roach, and 1 adult molted dubia and drank normal water.

I want to mention that he drinks water only by shooting his tongue at water drops that are on mesh cage, branches, leaves etc.
Maybe he injured his tongue during drinking ?could this be the issue?
So right now i am not 100% sure he has an RI.
A lot of people help me and i want to thank you all for your grate help.
If you have any ideeas or suggestions , please dont be shy.

update
ate 2 red runner roach, drank a lot of water- more than often.
so today he only opened his mouth just once for 5 min while he was under the uvb bulb like 3 inch away from it.
this happened at 16:20 .
I guess this is a good sign ? since he did it just once?

trust me if i had reptile vets this could be a lot easier ....
i tried to find some even before i got him, still no result.
i called every darn vet and they told me that they cant handle chameleons or other lizards....
i try to do my best.

That is a bummer you cant find a vet. I'm lucky enough to have one just 15—20 minutes away that handles cham/exotics.
