Need some help

So this is my veiled chameleon and as it can see the top of his head has turned purple and almost seems like it's shedding except it's been like this for almost two weeks now is it normal?

It kind of looks like his casque is burnt. How far away from the light does he bask? What are the temps?

Yea he dose bask the temp in his tank are usually around 85 90 at the highest point where is we're he usually basks

The temp is too high. 85 would be a max temp I would have him basking at. Also move the basking spot farther from the light. May want to get him to a vet to be checked out as well. Burns are never good

Alright yea I did I moved the basking spot down is there anything I can do at home for the burn?

You can get silvadene cream for the burn. The dead tissue will eventually fall off on its own and form scar tissue

Yea I moved it down it actually started clearing up a bit on it own he looks like he's getting ready to shed so hopefully it'll help that also
