Well my first clutch has hatched out. Out of 34 eggs only 12 hatched. Larger eggs sweated but did not slit. After I figured it takes only 2 days of sweating before the slit I did this on the last one and saved it. I have the 12 together in a large tub and most of the older ones are all eating well. Question, how do I sex them? Panthers..
When should I seperate them in to groups of 4or so?
and I have read about 2 to 3 months to be totally sperated?

i have all 12 in 58 qt this was working best to keep temp up and lights away.
most are now just a wk old, one 2 week, and some as new as 2 days. I will go get some 20 qt size. Thanks for the info on sexing as well. I definately see ones with more gray and barring and other red with mostly horizonal strip only. I will look for the tail bump more but have not seen it well. Your photos helped alot. So I should seperate now into appx 4 per container?

I always raised Veileds 20+ at a time in the 58 quarts-and never a tail nip or mark on the babies, but even when I had 2 baby Panthers in a 20 quart, I tould get missing tail ends sometimes! I would think you could leave them all in the 58 quart for up to a month though. Over time just separate the bigger ones from the smaller ones and watch for bullies.

Thanks again, when should I start adding calcium etc.. and do I seperate by sex or just size?
