ok, that's good. i was worried that if they were too big then he would have no interest in them.Yes they are smaller than the width of his head I put like 7
i would put it on or near a branch so he can hang on to the branch when he eats. avoid using a tall cup because he may not be able to reach them.Do I put the cup on the ground?
Ok I'll try to balance a cup on one or two of the branchesok, that's good. i was worried that if they were too big then he would have no interest in them.

i would secure the cup in some way because if your chameleon steps onto the cup the cup may fall and the crickets will go all over the place.I

Okill check and see if there r still 7Cause if u did put 7 crickets in there and u still have 7 cricket alive that mean he is not eating, and if he did eat the cricket that mean he will poop everyday a normal size poop since younger cham poop very often as long he is eating well with all the food he can gets, thats from my experience watching them hatched eating fruitfly new born pinhead crickets then 1/4 inches and so on,they eats alot until they get older, then you wont have to feed them that much.
Ok what could I use to secure it?i would secure the cup in some way because if your chameleon steps onto the cup the cup may fall and the crickets will go all over the place.

maybe secure the cup with a thumbtack with the plastic part inside the cup and the sharp part in a branch? if you don't understand i could post a picture
Ok thank youHi Justin, I received your PM and I do have a blog for new keeper for how I recommend keeping young veileds and panthers that has worked very well for me over the years. I'll link it below along with a couple of older threads where the members here have posted their cage setups. You can get allot of ideas looking at those threads.

Some chameleons do stop eating before they shed or they dont eat as much and sometimes they just dont seem affected. Another suggestion i would make that i dont believe I saw skimming through all the posts would be to raise the cage up off the ground. They like to be able to look down on you and be above you not the other way around they will feel threatened.Cya but befor u leave is that what u think it is?
