hey guys i just got a new veiled chameleon (his name is Ninja) and i got everything set up, leaves, dripping system, spray here and there, 150 watt blue light and all that. he is only a few weeks old at the most and i just got some questions to better my chameleons stay with me.
so i know they dont like being held but i also know with enough love and car shown towards him he will warm up to me. i know you can tame him by hand feeding him but i have some baby crickets and was wondering how i could hand feed them when the crickets try to crawl up my arm and dont know how to keep them still enough for Ninja to catch him. also when i try to pick him up he hisses at me so im not gonna try much at all, BUT i want to know an efficient way to do this so when i do try i dont waste his time and mine and make things worse if anything, i have tried using the leaf method where i let him crawl on a leave then onto my hand instead of just using my hand directly which seems to work well, but i just want to know if these two methods so far sound....idk how to say it...legit?
anyways thanks for the help and i cant wait for my new cham, aka Ninja, to warm up to me...
thank you
