The wife told me I could use our spare bedroom for chameleons. So this is what I came up with. It's the best combo to maximize my wall space. I think she regrets it now...

This is my male rack it's 10' long and will hold a total of 12 males

This is the center rack which will be for babies it'll also be 10' once I'm done with it. It'll hold 2-3 rows of 4 10 gallons per row for hatchlings and 6-8 grow out cages for hold backs

This is my female rack once it'd complete it'll be 11' long and hold 14 adult females the plastic shelves won't be there, I to have a metal fabricator shorten the beams for door clearance

other info all of the racks have drainage pans under them as well as furniture sliders for easy moving.
each wall rack only uses 3 plugs, I spliced as much as I could.
The closet is used for supplies and to told eggs.
Current stock is 1.2 Veileds, 2.3 Ambilobes and 1.0 ambanja.

Thats amazing! I SO wish I could have a cham room! Maybe ill do it in my apartment in January.

Maybe i'm mistaken, but didn't you make a thread showing step by step how you made your cham room?

I did pics of outdoor PVC cages but I scraped those once the wife gave me to ok to move indoors.:D

that is awesome!!!!! good job i dont think i would have the patience to do all that lol
Yes, it has taken a lot of work and planning, I was using plastic shelves earlier this year but it was bugging me that so much wall space was going to waste then I found these metal racks.

I would suggest adding partitions between the cages to limit the stress on them seeing each other on a constant basis if you havent already taken care of that;)

Great job! I can't wait until I have the space to do something like that...

I agree. At one point I had a young male veiled (he wasn't even showing bars yet) across the room from my female veiled. I thought they'd be fine because they were a good distance apart and he was young anyway, but they were not. The male wouldn't eat and the female was constantly showing stress colors. As soon as I put their cages next to each other with a curtain in between, they both relaxed almost immediately.

I seen these racks at home depot the other day and thought they would be perfect for this! lol. Your cham room looks great cant wait to see it full!

This yet gives me ANOTHER reason to buy a new house with three rooms....one for me, one for the parrots and one for the chams...dunno what to do with with boyfriend...hehehehee

I haven't seen any stress going on everyone eats and basks in the open. I don't believe when the screen cages are so close to each other that the chameleon can focus through both screens when they're so close, sure through a single screen. If I see any stress or showing off I'll throw up some partitions.

I had a bunch of 4-way PVC connectors left over and come up with this while making stands to raise the plant with. I was just using a glue gun and sticking the branch in the top of the 4-way then I realized some of the branches were to short to clear the pot. That's when I come up with a nifty way to extend the branch by shoving it in a PVC pipe which is great cause you can position the branches.

Lowes sells the beams from 12-22 each and the ends from 25-30ish and the wire inserts for 4ish. The company that makes these is Edsal. here's a link to the site that I ordered the drainage pans from.
