New Dragon Strand Hybrid Large Atrium for my Beman <3

The only thing about the easy drip pan is you can not put plants on the screen.
So there must be a gap between the screen and the ridges in the drain pan(?)

In time (or sooner) it may be easier just to remove the bottom screen entirely. The worst stuff for clogging the drain line will fall through the screen anyway. A filter (aquarium) at the drain should help.
If part of the purpose of the bottom screen is to contain wayward feeders, maybe seal the gap between cage & tray with duct tape or strips of PVC?

No nothing can go around the screen. It is snug. It just does not hold weight. Not built for that. So everything has to be suspended.

Ok so I am too much of a perfectionist... I have spent the day laying in all these branches like a jigsaw puzzle. Branches are done.

This is my idea for pots... I have room for 9. I have to put in some cross supports still and then hook in all the pots.. Then pray I can drop in to a few of them. It will be a bit tight. Top left will be left more bare for the basking area. Putting in 2 n joy pothos, 2 golden pothos, 2 small lipstick plants, 2 color variations of dracaena, and a money tree will be middle front.

Makin’ progress.... you’ve been working really hard at it. I think you’re becoming a bad influence on me.... Lol... I see changes I have to make now. Thanks for the pic’s and updates.
LOL well just wait until I post a video at the very end when I have everything running. Then your in trouble. You will be like I need a Dragon Strand. But thank you... It is the combination of the last 18 months of learning and messing up repeatedly with my cage. So trying hard to get it right this time.

PLANTS ARE IN!!!!!! Reduced down to 8 plants. Took away one of the lipstick plants. Gonna save that for the babies cage. I am so happy with it so far!!! it is everything that I was hoping it would be. ❤ Top left is basking there are additional branches behind that you can't see at the angle I took the pics.

No pictures today.. Honestly it was a very frustrating day. I got the front panels on and the doors. I love this cage but HATE the latches. They are really tight and I am only 5ft 4. So vertically challenged. I have to use a stool to get to the latch that hooks the top left door. There are 4 latches total on the doors, the one at the very top of the cage is the easiest but hardest to get to. The other three hook around this weird round thing. So a square latch catching on a round peg thing. And they are not the easiest to pop open or closed. So a bit frustrated with that.

Fog wall is a no go. I tried drilling holes so many different ways and sizes from small to a quarter inch. The water backs up on itself. Not sure how the heck others have gotten this to work without filling the pvc with water. Going to try a few more ideas before I throw the idea totally out.

Next to my Missus, you're an Amazon (and I don't mean an online purveyor). :)

Website says the latches were one of the "upgrades". Up to you, but—depending on frustration level—are the latches something you would consider replacing yourself? Screw holes are often standard distances, but that info. should be available before buying something. No hurry, either; that can be done any time—or not. ;)

Is it needed with your MK system, or just something you'd like to embellish with?

Yeah I am going to see if maybe they do not get easier. Not sure though. I may try to find something for the right door to replace those two. They are the hardest for me to clamp closed and open.
The fog wall was just something I have seen others do and I thought it was really neat. It disperses the fog all over. So an embellishment for sure and one I would never see since it is only on at night. Gonna go get some other stuff at the hardware store and see if I can make a different version with 2 or 3 T's and L connectors on the pipe. These would not get backed up with water since they are so big and then I can do 3 outlets to each side and the middle of the cage. Mostly I just want to make sure that where ever he sleeps there is a good amount of fog coming down in that one area rather then all flowing in on one side and going to the bottom to come out the front of the cage lol.

Lipstick Plant—a new one on me. Reminds me a little of a holiday cactus (when blooming). :)
Money Tree—I thought I knew what that was, but pictures suggest I was way off. Turned out I was thinking of one of the plants known as a silver dollar plant. It appears there are lots of plants that go by both (money tree & silver dollar) common names.

So much to learn—so little time!

Yeah I am going to see if maybe they do not get easier.
I'm not positive, but from the picture, it looks like those clasps may be adjustable (tension).
If not, a little "adjustment" may be possible, but you might shoot a note off to Bill—he may have a fix or suggestion. ;)
