New enclosure, veiled Cham refusing to eat

It's now day 3 of Gumby (9 mo old veiled) being in his new enclosure and he is still refusing to eat. Should I be concerned?

I wouldn't worry yet. I transferred my veiled to a new enclosure a few weeks ago and it took him a good week to settle and be comfortable enough to eat. Just keep him hydrated and offer fresh feeders every day. At 9 months he will be fine. Also, keep checking your temps to make sure they are settling on the right temps for him. At 9 months you can and should up his basking spot to 90-95. I had realized that my basking spot was too low in the bigger enclosure and once I upped it, he started eating within a day or so.

Awesome! Thank you for the quick reply. His basking spot stays at a firm 85, so I'll up it to 90 and see if that helps.

Perfect. After 9 months veileds need a higher basking temp, try 90 for a bit but don't be afraid to up it a little more. Just make sure he can't get too close to the bulb and but his casque.

Update: Gumby ate two crickets when I got home from work! I've upped his basking temp to 90 and am hopeful he'll bring doom to several more crickets tomorrow.
