Introducing my new little girly, Sugar Magnolia! (Check out the Grateful Dead song if you have no idea where that name comes from.) After 9 years of chameleon keeping, I'm thinking of taking the plunge into panther breeding. Not for quite some time, yet, though, as Sugar Magnolia is still a little kid, and any interest Anton might take in her at present would be of rather a culinary than a romantic nature. She's in her own room and they're well out of sight of each other. She's a three month old Sambava (Anton is also Sambava, but closer to 20 months), and comes from Kammerflage's Cortez.
She got a misting when she got here, and has small crickets available. When I left to go back to work, she was checking out all the places she could cling upside-down to the cage (the closest she can get to the basking light is ~82 degrees). Looking forward to seeing her grow and develop; my first female panther!
