I have a lot more changes I will be doing another setup for a Panther down the line.

Also Question. I need a DIY Live Fly TRAP that will keep them alive.... My House seems to Hoard them.

Welcome, where in Oregon? Nice setup you have for your cham. I don't know about the fly catcher, sorry. I hope you enjoy the site.

Welcome, I LOVE Oregon! It's so beautiful, and the air usually smells nice. Few things, I'd remove the substrate (bark) at the bottom. It looks nice BUT your chameleon can shoot at a bug, get substrate, and that can impact him. It can also get moldy. Generally we keep it bare or use paper towels.

Don't feed your chameleon house flies, flies eat fecal and other things bad for your chameleon, you could possibly breed flies so you know exactly what they're eating.

The water dish is labelled useless, since chameleons don't drink still water and they gather bacteria.

You'll want more plants, the more they can hide and climb as they please the less likely they are to be stressed. Some common safe ones are pothos, hibiscus, etc. There's many a blog on here of safe plants that have plenty of leaves.

For the potted plants you should cover the dirt with large river rocks so that the dirt can not be ingested.

I'm not sure about the moss, but some may tell you it's bad.

What are the lights? I don't see a UVB. They need a heat light (you can just use a household bulb you would put in your lamp) and a UVB, such as a reptisun 5.0. These are generally 18 inches long and come in a long hood.

All in all looks like you have a nice enclosure. Your veiled looks happy, if you want to make sure you're doing everything right you can fill out the How To Ask For Help form in the Health Clinic. :D

Welcome to chameleon ownership and the forums! A note on the mulch at the bottom:It is really frowned upon. It might look good but it will evenutally mold and breed bacteria from getting wet. The worst thing being your cham can injest it and die. Nothing on the bottom has proved to be the way to go.

Yeah I have read that a Few Times about the substrate. I will be removing it in the next day, And replacing it with a New Version I am making that is Inert and cleanable with drainage.

Also the bulb is the 160W Power Sun Bulb.

just be careful putting anything in the bottom that is small enough to injest. If your chameleon shoots for prey that is loose, they can wind up getting unwanted objects in their mouths. It does happens and the results can be deadly.

Yeah I am making a cork version that will be coated in a poly urethane that has built in wood work ect. I can not do a bare bottom looks to Blah for me so I will make something fake and functional.

welcome to the site i love fellow oregonian cham keepers. were in oregon you at i live in springtucky aka springfield!!! if you need any help with any questions hit me up. but i think your cage looks awesome but like others have said ditch the substrate. best of luck and GO DUCKS!!!

Yeah did a cage cleaning and fed the litte guy. Added more live plants and re adjusted the monsoon system.

I'm in Oregon too, where are you located? I am on the coast in North Bend. I'm looking for other cham owners in Oregon that might have different feeder bugs that I could buy (or maybe eventually trade my own bugs) to create a varied diet for my guy. Anyone in Oregon have a nice collection of feeders? Nice setup!
