New Kinyongia here today

Just wanted to introduce the new chameleons here. I will get some better pics of them once they settle in.

I have a 2.1
Kinyongia oxyrhinum

female

I only got one male
Kinyongia xenorhinum

I only got one female
Kinyongia tenuis ? (I believe if anyone is certin let me know)

I also had some good luck with frogs today. I had some strawberry pumilio froglets morph out.

and I got another pair of orange pumilio show up today

The top Pumilio a real Costa Rican Blue Jean or man creek? Congrats on the El Dorado, great frogs they remind me so much of a Bribri.

Yea I know what they might be, I just do not lable them unless the were imported with the date and these frogs were not. So no way to know for sure what they are.

The Kinyongia tenuis are one of my favorite species to work with. Its a shame that only a single true male has come into the country to the best of my knowledge. Almost all that have come in have been female. The K. oxyrhinum and K. xenorhinum are also great species to work with. Very nice group you have there!

Yea I know that is a bummer about the tenuis but, I here some are being farmed and might be up for the next import. So we will see

Actually only farmed tenuis are allowed to be exported from Tanzania, no WC. All the ones that have come in were farmed and of them, only the one male I believe. The pair I got from the shipment I brought in from Joe was 2 females and all but one other pair that have come in were the same I believe. I'd love to see some more males but so far not many have come. I'll definitely keep my fingers crossed though! Great animals!

Well I am quiting my job in well 2 weeks well not quiting but I am still working at the same place just not 60+hours a week anymore. More like 20 now So I am putting more needed time towards my mass collection of frogs and chameleons. My wife and I are getting a 4 car grage built with 5 rooms in it. (montane, lowland,frog, and 2 offspring rooms) all rooms with independ heat a/c. Got to love having a friend that owns his own a/c business. So once it is all up and built you will have to come see the collection. Should be done in around 8months or so.

It makes me wonder if Joe sends out many of the "farm bred" only species in single sexes. All of the montanes (R. acuminatus) Joe has sent from Tanzania have been male so far, looking at 18 different animals in Europe and the USA. This is despite 1/2 of them being labeled as females. Since it seems no chameleon species is TSD, it makes me wonder if these animals are knowingly sold with the incorrect sex to make sure no one reproduces outside of Tanzania.
