I just received one of Jann’s beautiful and friendly Chams on Thursday. So far he has been amazing and let us hand feed him and hold him. We’ve been trying to read his body language but there are still colors and body positions that we are unsure about. I was hoping some of y’all could post photos of your Chams in different moods so I could learn more about their body language!
Also- we are starting construction of a larger cage for him this week (to be completed over the next month or two. He’s still a little nugget ?) but if some of you would drop a pic of your cages for inspiration that would be awesome! Thank you ?

So as far as colors and patterns go this is what I know:
chameleons get darker when they are trying to absorb more light
They get dark spots or stripes when they feel threatened or alarmed. (With contrast to their basic green color)
And greys or different shades of green mixed in with their basis color is completely normal and doesnt indicate any stress
