I had to sell my collection of panthers early this year due to family emergency. I had a clutch of 20 eggs from a Sambava pair that survived the incident and have been watching them since last Nov. I randomly checked tonight and have eight living hatchlings and one had passed. I really thought the eggs looked infertile as my last two clutches from other pairings were. To my surprise they were not.
The eight hatchlings appear well...but I was very unprepared for their arrival. Shelter and light and water I can get done quickly, but nobody in this town(Des Moines, IA) had fruit fly cultures on hand. Soonest I can get any shipped in will be Thurs.
I know this has prob been asked countless times, but how long can the hatchlings fare without food source? Water and heat and UVB will be provided, but am freaking out about the lack of food for the next 36 hours.
Any thoughts???
