New Pet

Mine are babies still do hopefully the female clams down more and the male stays nice and handle-able.

Your female should calm down just keep handling her. Females tend to be a pest at first but then turn into the biggest HAM! Haha

i mentioned egg eating snake but my fiance said "oh thats smart, have an egg eating snake in the same house as birds who are laying eggs. we wont have baby birds ever again" (that was sarcasm bc the birds are his babies that he is totally in love with and cant wait for the eggs to hatch)

Well hey, any extra (unwanted) eggs can go to the snakes! As long as they dont get out it wouldnt be an issue. Mine are kept in a tall tank with a screen lid that locks into place.

NEW LIST:

Fennec Fox
Axolotl
Frilled Lizard (Dragon)
Gecko
Tortoise

Anybody with suggestions on these or other animals please comment. and any links to info about the above would be awesome :D

I don't want to state the obvious, but don't forget that Russian tortoises don't get much larger than a cereal bowl, but Sulcatas get MAHOOSIVE.

Yeah but if they can handle a pot bellied pig or fennec fox I'm sure they can handle a sulcata

I have some axolotls dont get me wrong they are unigue and interesting but not much excitement or interaction. Gecko would just depend I have gargoyles and they are awesome. The frilled were like having a bearded dragon because after a while they didnt flare any more and the babies I raised seemed to never flare because of being use to being handled. I think a leopard tortoise would be a good chose.

ooookay.
another new list.
Tortoise
Gecko
Fox

i really really would love a Hedgehog or African Giant snail but they are both illegal here...
so...
if we got the Tortoise or Gecko what species would you guys recommend?

Gte a Ball Python and feed him the 5 mice you have ... Kill 5 mice with one sname!! lmaoo:rolleyes:

j/k

But have you looked into Giant Day Geckos? Look into a pair of Phelsuma grandis!! Really colorful and tons of personality if you raise them from young and get them used to being handled and activity ( and if you do good with these guys, i'll let you in on my L.williamsi co-op program)

If you have a big backyard and can replace a dog for a tortoise then get a sulcata

no back yard :/ we have a second bedroom tho lol

I just love sulcatas but ideally a big tortoise like that really does need a back yard to roam around in. If you think you have enough time though to handle a fennec fox then I say go for it. They are amazing animals if you take the time to train them.

If you are interested I will see if my owner will let me ship him but we have a coatimundi at my shop that is for sale. He is still a little boy so he is hyper but is very very friendly and will walk around on your shoulders where ever you go.
