hedgehog breeders in PA are actually raided in the same way drug lords are... its like this crazy battle. there are only 6 states in which hedgehogs are illegal. its stupid

They are, and you can own ANYTHING. Most exotic animals is a matter od $ and permits. But you'd be suprised of what basements across America house.
I know a few people that own Skunks, Sloths, Serval cats, monkeys,cobras, you name it!!..

monkeys are crazy as hell!, my fiance is allergic to skunks lol. and cobras are insane! idk who would keep one in their house where they live when its so dangerous!

Two toed sloths yes but not three toed sloths. We had one out at the shop that we rescued from some bad owners. They kept her in a wooden crate no bigger than her. Her name is CiCi and she went to a wonderful home that we pre approved first. They custom built and outdoor enclosure and indoor one as well. The outdoor one was massive, it was like visiting the zoo and seeing the monkey enclosures!

as you may or may not know we volunteer at the animal shelter. well. in the midst of deciding a new pet we made our decision when we fell in love....

OOOkay. no judging
We have 5 chameleons, 5 mice (who i hope die soon, i hate the bloody things), 5 birds, a yorkie, a saltwater fish tank, and a Bearded Dragon whom we just bought from a superb breeder and is on the way here as i type.
we plan on getting maybe a sambava male, and a female ambi about sept time... but for now. i need to know what else to get. its PA so some stuff is illegal. and relax. we have the time and resources to care for them all. and most likely the birds, mice and fish tank wont be here that long (we are reptile people lol) ... and so anyways. i really really want a snake. like so bad. but my fiance is begging me for anything else but that. (everytime someone gets a pet the other does too... hence why its my turn bc he got the beardie) so... i really want a hedgehog but thats illegal in PA :-(

If anyone has an opinion on any of these or any other suggestions i would be glad to hear them! whatever we get we usually try to rescue. and if we buy it its always a baby so we can tame it. we have so much blank wall space and so many empty enclosures that we need to fill lol.
