Its not new. I used it 3 years ago when I built my first cage and honestly it makes viewing your set up much harder.. it appears really dark.. which sucks because itsa good screen otherwise especially if u have cats That claw at tthe cage.
I actually do not mind less viewing visibility. If you have got a shy chameleon or are working with a skittish species I would prefer less visibility to calm them down and just to calm chameleons I'm working with in general.
They have had material similar to this in the past however in the past it was expensive. Even though it is not new I'm glad I finally found these kinds of soft plastic screening materials.
It is the first time I have heard of this screening on these forums.
