their is a new enclosure add on, out i think by zilla, called a aquarium topper 4 a 10,20 gal aquariums.i now u do not house chams in aquariums but what about this add on.it should allow for great ventillation.

Howdy,

Unfortunately, you're still stuck with a drainage problem. You'll likely be misting pints of water that will collect on the glass bottom. Ideally, you want to have that water drain away from the bottom into a holding tank that keeps the bacteria away from your critter's home. A full screen enclosure with a drilled PVC bottom works well for many of us.

It does allow for ventilation but not in all areas. The floor needs to recieve fresh air. It helps to evaporate the moister and standing water. Two it will draw in the coolest air. When it warms from the lights it will travel up. This creates a convection air flow effect and provides the best gradients for a chameleons in a limited space (captivity).

Chameleons can become aggressive towards each other when caged together. Even if they do not they will be competing on a constant basis for food, spots...etc... This can lead to both being stressed and one if not both becoming ill. Housing chameleons is done when they are newborns, sometimes when they are small, but should not be when sexually mature.

I had my Jackson's in two seperate cages and the female could still see the male and she was super stressed. I put up a blind and now she is fine so I would guess that if you keep them together she will be a mess.
