Hi everyone!
I just joined a little while ago. I currently own a veiled chameleon names Richard. He's quite the drama queen and camera shy to boot. So unfortunately no pictures of him. I also currently own 2 Australian Green Treefrogs, a Pacman Frog, a Ball Python and a Cornsnake.

I joined the forum because I want to continue how to properly care for my first veiled chameleon and how to make him as happy/comfortable as possible. I did try my best to do a lot of research though before I got him .

It's been super helpful for me and people have been very helpful with great advice. Here is the husbandry review form and if you include a pic that's also helpful for people to see and comment on, if you are interested in getting some feedback at this point (even if Richard is hiding.... ?)

Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
Location - Where are you geographically located?
Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

Thank you! I'm excited to learn more! I've often used this site as a non member to help me find resources already! I just actually made a thread in the Enclosure and Supply Forum requesting advice and constructive criticism on my setup/enclosure! I'll have to look and find the husbandry review now also!

I think it's fine in either place - at least for me, when I visit the form, I like to see what's new, and maybe that's what other people do as well, regarding of what technical category it falls under.... but it is a husbandry thing

He didn't used to be shy before he got a mild respiratory infection but he's a drama queen because he held his breath to the vet's dismay when he was getting diagnosed with the mild respiratory infection and theshe was trying to listen to his breathing. He was also understandably very bitey, but also refusing to let go of the washcloth we put in the bin to transport him (so he had something to grip) and was waving it at the vet techs. He's was indignant at the treatment!

I would not be surprised if HE did that ?. Thank you for the welcome!
