New to the Chameleon....

Because I know a lot of pet stores that aren't specialized in chameleons, and even some that are, dont know how to sex them, I just thought I'd throw out that males have tarsal spurs on the back of there hind feet.

Also, would you please post your dusting schedule so we can make sure it sounds correct. :)

I have not started dusting. I need to get him to eat first and forthmost. I am hoping he will relax and calm down and start eating.

Update..... I bought a Dracaena Fraguns plant and a digital thermo. I will put in on in the morning after work. I will place it under the basking lamp. I will be removing the moss and under dirt.

Make sure to wash the leaves off with a soapy water and a good rinse first. Make sure it's completely clean.

He should start to eat in a day or two. But for now, what do you plan on dusting with, how often, and how heavily. Also, what are you gut loading with.

Either way but if you make a new thread than i would make sure to still include all the info of your set up and your pics!

cover the feeding cup with something, like duct tape or electrical tape. Sometimes the cham will think he is going to catch a cricket but he may be aiming through the transparent cup lol.

ps... those look like cannibis leaves????? LOL the fake plant that is.

one more... does he have hind spurs or not? If not then it is a girl and then you have even more stuff to worry about lol like eggs... Spurs look like this:

looking good! another thing that you may already know is that you need to let the cage dry out between misting to avoid mold/bacteria growth, i bet your cham is happy for all the progress you've made with the enclosure. :D
