Hello!

Take a look at the colors of this chameleon.. anyone knows what it means? The orange spots are new.

She has been started to move around her cage pretty actively, wanting to get out, walking around end to end. Maybe she's searching for a male?

Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forums. That would be her grown up colors. She's a women now. :) A very lovely lady! It's time to cut back on her heat and food if you have not done so already. Do you have a laying bin for her? Females can and often do lay eggs without a male even being around. I'm attaching a few links for you below. One for general care, one for the female veiled and one for egg laying and the laying bin.

couldnt put any other way

Beautiful yellow blotches showing that she is sexually mature and beautiful blue dots to indicate that she's receptive!

Is that a bump in her front left arm between the elbow and the wrist?
It might just be a funny angle.

Thanks for your comments everyone!

Thanks! I'm going to buy sand this weekend to possibly mix it with coconut substrate to give her something to dig. It's going to be the second time she's laying eggs, last time was a bit less than one year ago... it was a hard time for her, I thought she was sick at first and was going to die because she stopped eating and drinking. I think it might be too late to bring a male and that she might already started producing eggs... but anyhow I don't have a male for her.

Cool. The bump is her articulation, i.e., a bone... both of her forearms are like this :) She's been like that ever since we got her 1.5 years ago.

Hello, welcome to the forums......so how old is she now? I'm going to breed when my female is ready so how old was she the first time she layed eggs? And did she show the same colours beforehand?

Yes, first time she laid eggs she did have those colors... I didn't remember at first but I went back to look at old pictures and yes she had those... She must be around 2 years old, but I don't know exactly since I'm not the first keeper.

Did you own her when she laid the last batch of eggs?

Yes. Here's is a picture dating 22.Jan.2011, it was before she laid the last batch of eggs. I remember she had began to have a bump on her throat and became dehydrated after that so I thought she was sick.. on the first days of February she laid eggs.

Ok, thanks. I guess I just have to wait until mine is ready herself, so it's good to see what I'm waiting for........

If she laid eggs at the beginning of February this year she could have been ready to lay them again as early as the middle of June.
