New Zoo Med 10.0 T8 readings

Thanks for sharing and doing all of this. Have you done any "long term" testing on these set ups yet? The reason I ask is because the initial output of a bulb will be higher than say after a day, a week, a month, etc....I am sure you know all of this but want to see a second source of testing aside from uvguide.

The particular lamps in this test are 36w lamps. What we will find on the market here in America is the 32w lamp. I wanted to see how a 36w lamp would perform in a 32w fixture, the posts made were the result. I had these 35w lamps because Zoo Med sent them to me to try them out. So I did, and made this post. I can't remember if I have made a thread showing what the T-8 32w lamp's output is. I think I may have taken readings and photos but never posted? I will look at my post history and see what I can see.

For some reason Zoo Med is mixing 36w lamps in with 32w lamps. I witnessed Loren from LLL at the Pomona show pull out both 32w and 36w lamps from the same box of lamps. I check my lamps before going home... and so far, three times I have gotten the 36w. Loren took the lamps over to the Zoo Med booth and asked them what was up.... I don't know of the outcome, but I did see him there talking to the guys at the booth.

Here is a thread I made a while back about the box label issue; Zoo Med T8 box mis-print..

Again, lamps should be 32w in the USA, not 36w. Pull the tube out, and look on the tube itself to be sure you have a 32w lamp.
