Nice Incubator

Hi Brad,

Sorry, I was just pointed to this. Yes, I use this incubator. It works very well.

Elisa,
I am also considering this little incubator. SInce you have used this, I am wondering about the interior dimensions and how many delicups could be put in it. If I use the 4.5 inch x 1.75 inch cups, how many cups would I be able to fit in it.
Also, do you use a certain size cup to maximize the amount of containers that can be put in it?

Lance

So did anyone bought and tried it out? Does it really break down in a couple of months like it said on the review?
I think one of my local gecko breeder is using this product. I think I'm going to give this a try!

I've got over 50 Panther eggs in mine as we speak. I have a tub and heater set up as a back up. I've only had it running now for a month, so I can't talk about longevity just yet.

My only concern and maybe something someone here who's had one a while can answer for me is; it seems to fluctuate a little in the temp. If you set it for 75 it may rise to 76 and then back to 75. I've had to run mine at 72 - 73 to achieve a 74 - 75 temp inside.

I bought 1 about a month ago for my Ackie eggs. Temps fluctuate about 3 deg. up and down, and I have to set it at 94deg. to get my 86deg. temps. Overall, I guess its ok, limited space though. I have 3 clutches in it and thats pretty much all I could put in. I'll know just how good it was at the end of August........

man it fluctuate by that much?? Do you think that the frig is full so thats the reason why it fluctuate??

Not really that full....2 small deli cup containers and 1 bigger one. Have a rubbermaid container with water on bottom for humidity, that keeps good levels. I could probably put 2 more clutches in if I really wanted to......but since Ackies need higher temps then Chams....havent a need to put more in yet. Sometimes it goes to 4 or 5 deg. difference..........when it gets hot like that in my Hovabator, I just take the top half way off to cool down....with this one, it will lower if needed. Since they r monitor eggs in right now, I'm really not worried about it getting to hot.......I use a temp gun to check every now and then just to be safe

Bringing this thread back up.... how have these fridges been doing long term???? Don't want to waster my $$ on something that breaks down in a couple months.

there are two models the mr 138 & mr 148 both available under several different brand names, both pics and specs look the same and i have yet to tell the difference ,there is a guy on ebay who sells these as incubators, who has supposedly upgraded the temp sensors and controls

It could be good for small clutches maybe. Looks ok for the price, be good for the first time somebodys reptile pet breeds, alot of folk wouldnt bother putting one together themselves. Needs more room for bigger clutches though.

you mean this one brye? thats not good.
whats the temp range on the thermostat?

Hi I just hatched some Fischer's using one of these fridges. My thread is titled "Fischer's K. multituberculatum". Check it out.

Ours is still going good. Bought it the first of June, Temp. fluctuations seemed to have settled down and is maintaining at 74-75. I'm pleased with it will let you know more when hatching time comes. :)
