Thank you he has no name as of now I want it to be epic. He's my first one. He is much smaller than I expected him to be.

What kind of water are you giving him during misting and dripping?

Reptiles have a gland in their nostrils that excretes salts when they take too much in. Most of the time exessive salt intake is from using a certain water source. I used plain tap water for a while and noticed this crust. Switched to filtered water and the excess salt excretion went away.

Its debated here on the forums that it is from too much calcium being supplemented but in my experience, this was not the case. As long as you are dusting your feeders lightly then I doubt its excessive calcium.

Try switching to filtered or RO (reverse osmosis) water before messing with your supplements.

I've been using filtered water that comes out of the fridge and then I also put some drops of the Reptile safe in it I was just thinking I should switch to distilled water

Just got my shipment of fruit flies and pinhead crickets and he ate like 7 in a row and just got a 5 gal of reverse osmosis water we will see how he does!

Ro water and his food and spray bottle I am using while I wait for my monsoon automatic mister his Vitamins and calcium d3

Oh okay I haven't even givin it to him at this point I need to do some more research on what he needs but happy that he has been eating the fruit flys like crazy! And I switched to r o water and his nose is clear as of now

A good supplementation schedule that I use, along with others here, is as follows:
Daily: Plain phosphorus free calcium dusted lightly on all feeders.
Twice per month: Calcium with D3 dusted lightly.
Twice per month: Multivitamins dusted lightly.

Pick one day during the week and rotate both the D3 and multivitamin each week so they are both on a twice per month schedule.

Thank you so much everyone has been so helpful. He is looking great eating consistently. He is a little nervous when I try to get him out to let him roam free on a plant I have but other than that looks very good to me.
