now i know it can take a year... but what do you all think????
i have another clutch of 31 two months behind this

Rob, it sucks, but you're just going to have to wait for them. They look pretty good still just stick them back in to cook some more. :D

The wait is brutal, I know all to well the feeling of patiently waiting. I have several clutches incubating at the moment. Two clutches, (Sambava and Ambanja) were layed in early October 2009 and November 2009. The October clutch just hatched out 1 baby as of 4/08/2010, so there are 22 more to hatch. The Nov. clutch has 3 eggs sweating right now, and there are 17 total. I'd say any day the 3 eggs sweating will shrink and hatch out some little babies. So keep checking your clutch and best of luck to you.

Waiting is brutally painful-not to scare you, but I still have some good eggs out of my batch of not-Nosys and some of those guys from that batch are 7 months old now! Those eggs I believe were laid in Nov. 08! They are still white as can be and well over a year old!

For the record, I had a clutch laid on March 09 (10eggs), 7 hatched after 7 months, the other 3 just hatched this weekend, after 13 months. Those 3 hatched on a 3 day period difference and they are good and healthy.

OK i havent looked at the eggs in a couple days and i look in today and the eggs are lookin diff i see a few beads of sweat but not so much sweat i see the eggs outter part is lookin diff is this normal?are they ok?

Hey Rob,
That's how my nosy be eggs looked and they took 13 mo to hatch! I think they look fine.

BTW, how are the pygs doing?

tks tylene the pigs are doin great, ur eggs looked like that an took em that long? these just looked like this in the last few days if you look at the begining the thread those pics you can stll see the marker spots and in the latest pics its all broke up, thats why i was takin the new pics an asking.

Glad you asked that Rob (am just now seeing this) and posted the new pictures. I have a couple melleri eggs doing this, too.

its weird julie they wernt like that a few days ago but are now are, if ya look at the first pics those were taken that day over 8 months in and they were all pearly white and few days later there like this...bein ive only had a clutch of veilds and pygs both didnt look like this, im kinda worried somethings wrong ...

The reason it is doing that is because the egg is expanding quickly and blistering the outside... Those things are very close to popping..

See ya,

The Dude
