So today I walked into my chameleon room a while doing my routine feeding I notified one of my chameleons was staying in the same spot and wasn’t going after his food. He normally instantly eats all of his feeders along with being a bit feisty when I’m near and he wasn’t today. Not sure if this could be shed related as he is due to shed at any second but he’s stayed in this spot almost all day which I find weird especially since his eyes are open

Did he stay in that position or did he move a bit? Have you been keeping watch of your temps and all?
He stayed in that position for about 9+ hours while I was at an event came back home and tried to pick him up to see if anything was visually wrong and he moved and went an ate all his feeders right before lights out. Then today he’s in a new spot not interested in food again. My ambient temp ranges from 74-78 in the day with a basking of 83-87 depending on ambient

Have you changed your uvb bulb recently? Any change to the type of water you use for misting? Any changes in supplements or anything else either directly related to him or in the vicinity where he can see?

No I haven’t changed light bulb it’s due in about 2 months to change the uvb. Supplements still the same however I did recently move my hatchling rack and added a fan to the room

He likely moved around the cage while you were away and when you returned he was back in his spot.
