Odd Misting Behavior???

Is this weird...?

When I mist my cham she usually will sit out and likes to be misted directly, now (We have progressed to this point in the last week). She seems to lose her senses. I mist her where she basks, on a vine, and she will walk over to the screen and start climbing sideways towards me and the mister, on the screen. Both there and even just standing on the vine she will put her hands out like she is feeling for something and even though nothing is there she will keep walking like she is in her right mind and keeps falling! I see it happening and keep catching her, putting her back in place, and she does it again. Beads of water also gather at the top of the cage on the screen and she will start puffing up and rubbing her nose on the screen (but not drinking). Her color tends to be fine during this, she is a mossy brown mostly.

She's going to hurt herself eventually. Why does she act this way?

Edit: This is also a problem when I shower her. She will climb up to the top of her hibiscus and throw herself out as many times as I will let her before I get tired of catching her. All the while she is showing brights yellows.

Is it normal?

Is it possible that she doesn't like being misted? Try misting the plants instead and avoid putting her in the shower.

She will walk away when she doesn't want to be misted and hide. She seems to like it in the scenarios I am talking about and just wants to get all up in it. She is climbing towards the water source. Up to the shower head and over to the mister. But stupidly. Is it normal for them to lose their senses? Maybe if they are really excited?

What kind of a chameleon do you have? Not that I have any clue what to tell you honestly, but just curious. I guess my only suggestion would be to not mist her directly. I don't intentionally mist mine directly ever, really. And are you using hot water in your mister (which will come out nice and warm)?

Edit: And did this JUST start or has it been happening at some level for any period of time?
