theres a graph there and i have no clue on how to read it its about the spectrum..
thanks

thats a Mercury vapour bulb, mostly used for desert species, they are not as practical to use because you have to place them at a certain distance to get the right uv exposure while maintaining an acceptable temp. its easier to get a normal 2 bulb setup. uv and incandescent.

do the chams need to get the UVA/UVB eventhough they arent basking?
because this is where they bask and its like 1-2 inches close to the place where they sit on..so i think the UVA/UVB mihgt get to them but i mean you guys are the experts...
if you like i can post my enclosure...its a temporary one until i get a screen mesh

oh i forgot to mention
i also have another light bulb and its called
reptasun plus blue

does that contain any UVA/UVB>?
i cant seem to find anything on google..

I was looking at your profile and checking out the posts you have made. I feel lighting is very important. Since I didn't see any resolution I just figured I would share some thoughts. Glad you were able to take care of things

Howdy,

Funny, I don't remember seeing this UVB post .

By the way, I try to look at all new member profiles to get an idea of who's joining. I'm always interested in their hobbies and interests etc. If they live in Southern California, I try to make an extra mental note of it in case they need to borrow anything (other than money :D) in a chameleon emergency :). Because I usually check-out member profiles via the "membership" list and not from posts, I may not see their posts even though I've visited their profiles :(.

Glad to see that you bought the Reptisun 5.0 linear setup. I'm pretty sure that the particular MV lamp that you showed is one of the Chinese versions that has a poor output pattern with UVB "hot spots" as its main problem.
