Okay so i just found out that one of my friends has a freaken cool panther chameleon! And he has a. Bearded dragon. I was okay nothing to crazy that's cool. So then i went to house to look at them.... I couldn't believe it! Idk how he did it but he had them living together in the same cage! Besides that being really weird and i thought impossible.. The wildest thing is still to come! THEY CAN'T BE SEPARATED OR ELSE THEY GET SO MAD TO THE POINT WHERE THEY WILL BITE HIM UNTIL THERE TOGETHER AGAIN THAT'S.WHEN THEY CALM DOWN!! He said that the chameleon only likes crickets, and the dragon only likes meal worms. So they don't get in each others food way! its too crazy. I hope i can go visit him so i can take videos and pictures.

Someone tell me how this works? My friend doesn't even know why.there.like.that!

It doesn't work and they are two diffrent species of animals that require different setups, humidity and temperatures. Tell your friend to seperate them and I highly doubt they like being together. Both practicaly like the same food items so they are most likely going to compete for them. You should point your friend in the right direction and tell him to join this forum so we can help him further :)

Okay ill tell him about this site. But its.weird because the dragon is at the bottom where its all hot and dryer! Yet the chameleon is on top doing his.own thing! But the chameleon always gets on top of the dragon and just sits there! Well he said that everytime he takes one out to clean them the other one goes crazy until there in the same cage! It looks like it works because.he has a huge cage! They look like there healthy.and everything! But Im no expert so ill tell him about chameleon forums!

Yeah don't worry Im going to take pictures so you guys can.see what i mean!

yeah post vids and pics

they could be just aggressive to be handled and not the whole a"we are friends , leave us alone"

has he tried to seperate them cmpletely without seeing eachother in different cages?

cohabitation of different species is not impossible not not nearly reccommended and successful and could be fatal to the animals

and what i dont get is that the pantehr and the bearded dragon HAVE DIFFERENT ENVIRONEMENTS!!!!

PANTHERS- TROPICAL RAINFOREST VERY HUMID

BEARDED DRAGON- DRY DESERT LIKE REALLY HOT AND LOW HUMIDITY

that sounds pretty bizarre and i think he is not taking care one fo them properly?

let us know

Since you won't be seeing him in a couple weeks I would give him a call and inform him that what he is doing is not the correct way to keep his animals and to visit and join this forum.

this reminds me of something a young kid would do.

two different types of husbandry. one of the two is getting the raw end of the stick.

i guarantee this. lets say the bearded is young atm. wait till he is about a year old if hasnt tried anything before this.....he will eat the chameleon.

be a friend and tell him to change whats going on and he clearly does not know how to care for them. so teach him about the panther and bearded.

i raise both lizards. bearded dragons have no place with another lizard.

honestly who cares about hows and whys. this needs to be corrected asap.

this is rude but this is plain ignorance imo.

i actually suggest setting up a hidden camera so you know what they do while you're gone...

Multiple species of animals... one room... on cage.. perfect environment for The Wonder Pets! :p

Yeah Im new to both! I just.ordered a champion but.i.will help him do research so the animals can be in.good health!

Yeah, I can see how it's theoretically possible to keep them alive if you have a very well designed setup that does provide for basic needs. Only mealworms is bad for anyone, even if they are gutloaded and dusted. I can even believe it is possible they are friends if they were brought up together.
It sounds like something a child would do and it needs to be changed. Unless the guy is managing to breed them he's not a genius so I'm very concerned........
