He's by far the meanest cham I have. I decided to get a few pictures of home today, usually I post pictures of my juvenile male panther but decided to show some veiled love today.

Antihero,

Nice pics! Sorry to hear that he is "difficult." When you say mean, what exactly is he doing to be "mean."

He's a biter, I've tried every trick there is, he will attack anything and everything that enters his enclosure. Also, before anyone says it, his eyes always look sunken, he has a very prominent brow ridge. His eyes always look sunken to some degree but his urates are always white.

And although he is slightly flared up in the pictures, these are also his resting colors.

Sorry to hear that he's a biter. Have you tried "free ranging" him for a bit each day. I hear that this "mellows" the cham. out a bit when allowed to roam out of his enclosure into a ficus or another plant from his cage.

He's just not friendly, and I suspect he never will be. And that's OK with me, chams do better when not handled anyways and I have other chams who "like" being handled. Part of the problem may also be that my dog has torn into his screen enclosure twice and tried to eat him, she was unsuccessful twice and never touched him before we found out what was going on. For some reason she does not like him, yet she has never bothered the other 5 chams, so she's no longer allowed in the same room without supervision.

LOVE the name. I actually am fine with a "spicy" cham. My female is a pistol... He is gorgeous, you'll love having him around!

He is so beautiful! I love his tail and those yellows are killer. Congrats on your handsome grump.
