She’s sooo beautiful stunning and beautifulThe girls are nearly 2 years old! Both Porchetta and Porcini are doing great! Neither have laid a clutch yet, to my knowledge. They are a very active species with big personalities. I really love these guys!
The only male from the group is living with a friend. His colors are so cool, and unique. Really debating on picking up an unrelated male or female to try to further that color development (and I want to experience grandbabies!)
Here is Porchetta (Porky) showing off this morning.

Awwww congrats hun! They are adorable.Oops… I did it again. Meet Panini and Pinoli! They just arrived today - wildcaught from LLLReptile. I’ve been searching for them for 2 years, and as soon as I saw them in stock at LLL I pounced. They are small and I’m thinking they are both young .. the male looks especially young. If I had to guess, maybe 6-9 months old. They look very good, I think we’re going to be just fine. They both were incredibly stressed but quickly settled down, ate a few bugs, had a big drink, and are exploring their temporary homes.
I plan to leave them alone as much as possible until the end of April. I’ll be out of town for part of April, but that’s also a solid 2 months of quarantine to settle before their first vet exam and potential parasite treatment.
My other “babies” are now 3 years 2 months old!! My girls both recently laid their first ever clutches of infertile eggs. My friend has the only male, who is doing well and a total stud. I am
hoping to pair them all this summer and fingers crossed for babies by spring next year! Lets hope everyone is still healthy and capable when these guys are ready!

Its been a very slow healing process and I hope that it does not cause her so much discomfort that she abandons digging for her eggs. So far she seems to be trying but also uncomfortable. It is not a fresh wound but still uncomfortable. She comes right out on my hand each night for her meds and shows me her booboo. Have I mentioned how much I love these girls?!? She gets a bit crazy when she is gravid so I suspect she may have tried to climb the glass doors or track, but I really have no idea how she did it. Especially with where the cut is located!
Don’t judge my water stains
O my, I'm in love and I bet Ranjo would be as well. for these cuties and beauties.......Looks like I missed a window with both of my girls - they are both currently digging (how funny they are on the same schedule). I dont interact with them during this time but Porky spotted me during an evening check and wanted to come out for a few minutes.
The new k boehmei are still adjusting. Still need to put on weight and still very shy - I will run fecals next week to get an idea of their treatment needs so that I can hopefully introduce them to my CH boehmei in the near future. I believe the male that I hatched may also be coming back home to live with me again and to pair with Panini, the new female. Fingers crossed that we have ample time to produce another generation - as these girls have been such a joy to raise and interact with. Such huge, outgoing personalities in tiny packages!
Birthday shout out to Ranjo and @Sonny13 !

Beautiful little lady. I hope she gets all her eggs out and her ankle heals quickly.Porcini’s been digging and by doing so her wound looks much worse - and possibly another scratch. (No idea!) She dug a few holes and looks to have laid an egg in an uncovered hole, but then dropped 4 eggs randomly around the top soil.
Hoping the vet will be able to squeeze her in tomorrow. In the meantime she has been politely asking for outside time, even though that usually also means medicine time.
She looks just like her mom

So sorry for your loss love. Sending hugs your way.Saying tearful goodbyes to Porcini. This last clutch, and the pain from her injury, have been too much for her. I am thankful to have been home this week to spend time with her and sit outside.
I have no illusions of being a chameleon whisperer - but Porcini is the third chameleon I’ve lost who became extremely clingy in her final hours. Desi, Donnie, and now Porcini - all very social, very special creatures. They all reached for me to pick them up and refused to leave… maybe they trust I will keep them safe, quiet and comfortable. Maybe they are saying goodbye. Idk, but they are heartbreakingly bittersweet moments that help me to come to terms with goodbye. So many people don’t understand grieving a pet that is not the standard dog or cat…. Grief comes from a place of love and there are no limits to love.
