Open front panther enclosure

Wow that is a great lookin setup!!!!

Like someone said before, pothos would grow fast and fill that with nice climbing vines! What size/locality are you looking to put in there?
Ya know? I am not to sure yet.. i keep thinking ambilobe but the ones i want keep getting bought before i can get to them
ive got a split leaf philodendron in there for just that very thing. hopefully it takes hold and explodes..

i think its great looks like a nice setup, clean, open, and the plus is humidity should be easier to keep up since you have the back walls..my cham is three months old (male blue bar ambilobe) and has loved having the peice of mind of an open enclosure set up(he stays in his tree, but having everything he needs ive yet to see him want to venture out of his area..at most just to the tips of the branches to watch some nat geo with me, lol)..good luck with yer set up, im sure your new cham will love it!!

p.s. what version of pardalis do you have yer eye on ( they are like cars, so many styles to choose from, haha)
not to sure yet.. lol

We got our Ambilobe from Chameleon Company... he use to be a sponsor, not sure why they aren't anymore, but ours, Shooter, is AMAZING. The guy is really great. When we saw Shooter, we knew we wanted him. Problem was we didn't have our set up and supplies ready. I called up the guy who is REALLY nice, don't remember his name, and told him which we were interested in. He said we could pay and he would hold him and care for him until we were ready. I want to say he holds up to 30 days, but I'm not 100% sure that I'm remembering correctly.. I'm like, 80% sure about that. Shooter's sire is Q, who is stunning. Check them out!

Someone may have already asked this but I am curious how you will keep the feeders from escaping. Are you just going to hand feed? Looks great!

LOL may sound strange, but my plan is to silicone the sides at any seam to make them as smooth and water resistant as possible, then somehow glue a thin maybe three to four inch strip of super smooth white plastic around the back walls.(siliconing the seam for this too so the chameleon doesnt get its nails under and climb) this should keep the crickets from being able to climb out. the back is already pretty smooth.. mostly i plan on hand and cup feeding though.

to be honest ive had maybe to loose crickets in my room, but i keep a small open top bin bolted to the wall near my chams basking site(he can shoot at one when he feels the need) but for some reason (maybe because of the basking lamp near by...p.s. the temps of the cricket bin dont exceed 72 degrees)they never jump out..they all show up when misting and feeding them but otherwise only a few stay mounted towards the top..(so far this is whats worked for me...)

Interesting... The last open front style enclosure i had was for my frilled lizards, and i had issues with crickets crawling up the plants then jumping off and escaping. not to many would do that, but enough that i would see them wandering the room several times a month. so i hope that by hand feeding and cup feeding more often i will limit the crickets wandering in the enclosure.

hard to say what will happen until i dump some in though
