open mouth

My 3-4 month female veiled is walking around/ basking with her mouth open.... Should I be worried? What does this mean?

Normally it means the temps are too hot , he is trying to release heat much like a dog pants

Lower the temps down some and see if this helps:)

My Jackson's often has his mouth open. I've dropped his temps, taken him to the vet, and he still does it. I'd posted on here previously about it, but I really think that it's just one of his ways of communicating because it's not a temp. or health issue. jmo

I'm beginning to not care that Ender does it anymore. He doesn't do anything that indicated an infection or sickness, other than holding open his mouth... and it's seriously not that hot in there. Just right where it should be, great gradient and everything.

Sigh...

My male jax does that too, and I have had him 3 years, there is nothing wrong with him, and it's not the temp.
Sometimes, he just opens his mouth fro a little while.
Doesnt matter where he is.
Sometimes when he does it, I have a dropper of water ready, and put a few drops in his mouth.
He seems to like that :)
