Again why did the price jump from 65$ to 900$ i kept them from 97 - 2002 are they an endangered species now??????

The price is simple. Like I said, they are no longer allowed to be exported from the Solomon Islands. They are not extinct yet, but very close. Even though I think they only have a CITIES II classification. (I think). And they haven't been imported since the late 90s (again I think this is right, but don't quote me on it). Breeding them is very difficult. They form a family bond and identify each other in this excepted family by smell. Getting this bond to happen isn't easy. Often you have to introduce skink after skink before 2 smell each other and decide to make a bond. Then if any other skink is introduced, chances are very good that he/she will be attacked and killed. This is such a problem that people who keep these skinks will often seek each other out for trades, looking for compatible skinks.
They are truly one of the most interesting species of skink out there. They are also one of the only few lizards that form family bonds for life, and will protect and raise their young.
Back in the mid 90s when you and I both worked with them, very little was known, and since they aren't what most people would call "pretty" their price wasn't high. Now that they are "rare" their prices have gone through the roof.
Outside of Argama International, the Philadelphia zoo is the only other source of a large mixed blood breeding group(s). And they aren't selling any of theirs.
In all honesty, the CB population is so small, that I don't think it will go another 15 years before some new blood will HAVE to be imported.

I found when i kept them that they required extremely high humidity if this was not provided they had a difficult time shedding and easily lost toes due to unshed skin.I had a pair that gave birth to one still born offspring .Later i went through a messy divorce and gave them away.I was out of the reptile hobby til a few years ago i got into chams.Wish i could get another pair i really liked them.
