Our journey is just beginning!

We set off on Thursday afternoon from Tucson, AZ to Westhills, CA.
After eight hours of car trouble and traffic we finally make it.
The second I saw them I fell in love and knew I'd do anything in my power to keep them happy and healthy.
Three in the morning, finally loaded up and we turn around and head straight back.
After another eight miserable hours of car ride we finally got them home and settled in.
My heart is heavy for Bemis (red).
He was extremely malnourished and dehydrated.
In the past few days he's shown improvement but is going to need some major TLC to bounce back from this.
We are taking a trip to the local herp vet this week but until then lots of water, gut loaded critters and love.
The trip to bring them home was rough, but his road to recovery is the scariest part.
Fingers crossed and hopes up.

Were all three of these rescues? I hope everything turns out okay. The red guy definitely looks a little malnourished. I hope you're able to get him back up to a healthy weight.

The other two look awesome from the pictures. The Nosy-be (or is it a blue bar amb?) has what looks like an old burn scar on his elbow, but otherwise looks good.

Wow I had no idea that you made the drive to rescue them. I just assumed they were shipped! Glad you have them and are working on getting them the care they need.

Wow, you are truly a very kind person, taking in chams when they are in rough shape. I'm a sucker for rescues myself lol. Beautiful looking chams you have there though, and i'm sure that they will love their new home!

Your title reminded me of a post i did a little while ago about cham addiction. haha hope this makes your smile.

Chameleon Keeping

Signs of addiction include but are not limited to:
-Finding new meaning and excitement in the 1983 hit "Karma Chameleon".
-Becoming overly excited for objects with a chameleon in the name or logo.
-Finding yourself replacing pictures of friends and family on Facebook with photos of chameleons.
-Late nights rationalizing why you need to purchase more chameleons for your collection.
-Removing long cherished items from the home in order to make room for additional enclosures.
-Spending hard earned money on Vines, Sticks and Leaves instead of Clothing, Food and Electricity.

If you think you have an addiction please contact your local dealer and seek additional help from your divorce lawyer.

Prolonged exposure may lead to more serious symptoms such as:
-Bankruptcy
-Restricted living space
-Loss of interest in non reptilian creatures
-Loss of spare time
-Loss of sleep
-Extended periods of chirping within the house
-Awesomeness
-Prolonged periods of happiness

Hope that makes you smile lol.

Best of luck with your new extended family!

Yes they were all rescues.
We think Raneri (blue) is a faly/ambanja cross but we don't know for sure.
The man had no idea. -__-
He actually has quite a few burn scars, which make me pretty sad.
Bemis (red) is mommas boy. He's eating and drinking and comes straight to me when the door opens. We are getting him into the herp bet this week.
And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get him better regardless of cost.

Because of his tongue issue she believes there I a slight vit a deficiency so he is getting a vit a shot along with a calc shot. He has been hiding parts o his food under his tongue and not eating it so we had those removed. He will be on baytril for his ri along with some antibiotics. We are to give him calc with d3 for added supp. And to keep up our husbandry because that's why he is alive now. Will keep everyone updated
