Thats kinda a toughie!
I mean im no expert in no way shape or form but i had the same problem when mine was young.
Looks alot like Fran and doesn't seem to have spurs

Could you take another picture of just the back feet? :) the back of them

i commented on your other thread regarding carol or calvin. Its def a male.
He is still very young and the spurs can sometimes be harder to see.
But there are spurs there. If you run your finger along the back of the back foot you should be able to feel the spur, even if you cant really see it well.
Its a male.
The coloring of the males will come in later. when they are that young, the males and females look the same to an untrained eye.

I believe that Carol is probably closer to 3 months old too. I have a lil guy, though while a porker, is that same size at 2 months. So I would think she is not too much older. But I am definitely no expert! I just feel that most 5 month old Veileds show more adult colors.

The chams a male. Lol.
and that cham is not 5 months old. Im going with closer to 3.5-4. and when my male was that age, he looked the same, coloring wise. his bars didnt come in until he was about 6 months old, a bit closer to 7.

i say it's questionable, but i believe it's female. a lot of girls have a little thing sticking out that can be mistaken for a spur, but it's not. that is not pointy enough it looks more like the back foot visible by the tail in this picture

tarsal spurs are not always pointy. when they are young like the OPs is, the spur can look like a tiny pimple.
The Op posted pics in another thread that shows the spurs alot better.
Female feet are smooth, they do not have anything on the back foot that can look close to a spur. and if they do, then they are more than likely a tranny cham.

I had a cham the same age with what looked like a small "spur" on the right foot. I thought it was a male but after thoroughly investigating it turned out to be female. The "spur" I was seeing looked exactly like that. Sometimes I could see it, sometimes I couldn't. I think it was more visible depending on her current coloration. I'm for sure going with female on your cham. My thought is.. if you have to look hard for it, it's probably not a male. Check and see if you see the same small spur on both feet. If it's just one your probably dealing with a little girl. You could have a drag queen chameleon. There out there you know. ;)
