Outdoor cage

Hi all.

I want to build an outdoor cage for rango, but I have no idea how it must be like, because it is almost like Rango gets depressed in his cage inside. She wil eat and then after that she will go to the bottom of het cage and just sit there, and turn black.

I do have a tree on my portch for her to free range in, but sometimes when I am not at home, I cant put het in the tree, so that is why I want to built her a cage outside.

And also because she oves to be outdoors.

Any ideas please?

I sometimes take my 5month old panther out in his(I think hes a male) small 16 x 16 x 30 and I notice although hes not in a big cage he appreciates the outdoors versus being inside. Try to leave him out there in his cage and see how he does!

btw, being that I live in Houston and our weather is absolutely PERFECT right now, I leave my 5-6 month old panther outside in his 16x16x20 cage all day and night. He def appreciates this and his colors are better!

Thanks for the info, and the pic. I think I am going to copy your cage this weekend. Can I put some soil in the bottom, so if she wants to lay eggs or what ever, she has the freedom to do it?

actually my daughter and her boyfriend built it last year for me at Christmas. I think they spend around $150.00 for materials and I will have to ask them how long it took to build. I am glad you all like it! so does my chameleon!!

you are better off with a laying bin as you need the digging material to be around 12 inches deep. Most people use washed playsand and get it wet so it will hold a tunnel.

im also curious that cage is nice and is basically perfect for what i need for out back to get some sun on my guy , tell them they did a great job i like the wheels to nice to move it with the sun and all
