Over-eager eating.

Over friendly female, not a massive problem but here it is:

Every time i go to hand-feed my female veiled she is so eager to get the food she sometimes hits my fingers by accident and tugs them with her tongue a bit then lets go. I was just wondering if she could strain or hurt her tongue in any way by doing this.

Thanks,

Dave

She probably can hurt tounge by doing that. I wouldn't hand feed her, I would just cup feed. Better safe than sorry.

I use locusts. Cant cup feed they can climb anything. Thanks though. Plus she does it everytime i put my hand in there. She just assumes i have her dinner :p

Well then just put the locust in her cage and let them climb around, she'll eat it. Are you removing the back legs? They can her throat while it's going down.

i do that sometimes anyway but its nice to hand-feed her :p

And it depends, if they are bigger then i do. Her usual ones are about 2-3cm (under 1 inch).

Thanks again :)
