Ozzie isn't eating :(

Yes I am using a multi Vitamin and I just took him outside for some real sun and I just saw what the problem is but I don't know how to fix it or how he got that way. His tongue is swollen :( I am probably going to loose him huh?

You said..."D3 twice a month and without D3 every day"...so you don't dust with a plain phos.-free calcium powder at all?? What brands of supplements do you use?

You said..."His tongue is swollen I am probably going to loose him huh?"...not if you get the problem solved. A swollen tongue may be why he's not eating. It could be an injury or an infection...but you will need a vet to tell you and treat it.

Chameleons prefer a mesh enclosure so that air can flow through. Also glass can intensify the effects of the heating and UVB lamps. Be careful ~

Ok, well you know him better than we do so if you're sure there is a real problem then take him to the vet. It can't hurt and may save his life..........

I am sorry yes I m using 3 different types of things to dust his food with, I was just in a hurry to post. We are headed to the vet this morning so we shall see what Doc can do for him. I hope not Baytril because that stuff makes animals loose their appetite!

He has been in an all glass since we got him and I have done my homework on all enclosures and glass is not as bad as it is made out to be and I have my reasons why I choose to use glass and I wish people would get off their soap boxes preaching about this....sigh.
