Pacha layed eggs!

I haven updated on my chams lately, but I can say I was a little afraid for my beautiful female Veiled Pacha.

I transfered her to a cage that I had laying around (not really the perfect cage for them) but I was able to dump some dirt on it. A couple of days ago she flared up with colors so I figured she was ready.

I did a lot of reading and also read the post that JannB posted.

Well she's been digging for 2 days (I can't believe it took her so long) poor thing. And today just a couple of minutes ago she started dumping them.

I got beyond excited she did, I was starting to ask people about reptile vets around here. Because I was worried.

I can't wait to get get back on her cage and feed my poor little baby. This is her first time.

Glad to hear that Pacha was able to lay her eggs. My girl, Lottie was not able to lay hers and had to have surgery. :( She is fine now and my vet also took her ovaries so we want have to deal with egg laying anymore.

Did she dig a hole? Did she have a laying bin. My veiled girls have always dug to the bottom...10 to 12 inches down and laid the eggs on the bottom.

Sorry that happened to your beautiful girl :( ... I placed her on the cage that the pet store made me buy for her when I got her, one of those glass ones. I filled it with dirt around 8"-10" deep, she dig all the way to the bottom. I had a laying bin on the reptibreeze but for some reason she never went digging on it, so when I saw she was restless around her cage I decided to transfer her there for a couple of days.

The first day she was there she started digging, it took her 2 days diggind around the cage until she found the perfect place.
I'm glad she did... And BTW I covered one side of the males cage she is now using her normal colors and seems more friendly not wanting to destroy my hand when I reach I. :)
