panther cham behaviours

Hello all,

just seeing what your thoughts are, my ambilobe has started to chew on some of the bark on his branches, has anyone else had this issue?

It's typical of panther chameleons. It's a worry because it can lead to impaction.

Some grow out of it, others don't. Most females stop around 12-18 months old. Males seem to continue longer, with less quitting. Make sure to keep safe branches and vines.

thanks all for the quick replies, he has only been doing it for about 2 weeks. i thought it had to do with hydration so I upped water, but will take that back to what it use to be.

Just make sure you are feeding and supplementing him well, that way you know it won't be down to an intake deficiency.
