panther is biting things in cage and walls?

I was watching and he started bitting things he just went through shed is this normal for a panther

Hmmm, is he actually eating anything? Is it more biting or chewing?(just to clarify)

sometimes they will do that. I don't think anyone has an answer for as to why.

More like chewing .....he bites it but does not eat anything ...he bites the walls when his mouth is open he sticks his tounge out...and he just bites the vines

I have had an "issue" with this, sort of.

My panther (at about 6-7 mo) started biting off the random small sticks that were jutting off his branches. He would sometimes eat them, and sometimes spit them out. Couldnt figure out why. Then he started biting longer(a foot or so) but smaller branches at the base, as if tryiing to remove them. I removed them for him, and he went and sat in the area that was previously blocked by them. I came to the conclusion that he was crazy, or he was actively trying to "alter" his home, or that I was crazy. I removed all the "mini-sticks" and he has not done it since.
