Panther local?

It's very important,I would never buy a panther without noing not only the local but that it's a clean bloodline not cross locals any ware down the line not only for breeding purposes but if your going to shell out the cash you want to no exactly want your getting and that it's going to be a good quality Cham, just my opinion. Why do you ask are you unsure on yours? If so put a pic up one of us will identify it for you

I'm confused by the cross breeds. Are all say red bar or blue bar ambilobe panthers crossed or can they be pure?

From a breeding standpoint. YESS!! I want to know the Local and bloodlines, etc.

But if it were to be just a pet, then its not really all that important. But like chameleonkev said, you want to make sure you are not over paying for a lower cost Locale.

there is no common cross really.

some people on here have a faly/banja cross, others have ambi/ banja crosses.

its really just a matter of circumstance.

Ok that makes sense. I started reading about crosses the other day and was concerned my dream of a blue bar ambilobe was shattered! lol

blue bar ambilobes are pure if you can get the right blood line.

that just describes the ambis markings.

The only reason I asked was everybody was talking about different locals,I got Simmons at the San Diego reptile show last month.I had wanted a Panther for years and was just waiting until I thought I had everything together and researched all I could think of, had the cage ready and all, then I went and found him at the show. I just didn't remember to ask the local, I'm not planning on breeding him, he's a beautiful addition to our family. As far as paying too much, how do you put a price on something that you have wanted for years?
