Panther sleeping upside down?

Hi there I have a female panther chameleon named whindy. I got her october 5th 2019. I think she was about 2.5 to 3 months when I got her. She lives in a 16×16×24 screen cage. 75w basking light and uvb is a 13w CFL. All fake plants and vines accepts for a Japanese araliea I think its called. In the last few weeks she has been resting at the bottom of her cage, not eating as much and I noticed orange in her urate. I've upped the amount of times I mist her cage. Tried the shower trick but she did not drink in there. Last night before lights out she was hanging upside down and slept that way the hole night and is still in that position 2 hours after lights on. Anyone have any suggestions on this behavior?

No clue about the behavior, but in my opinion she looks gravid and needs a lay bin ASAP! Also, it seems you don’t have a t5 for uvb? If that’s the case you need to correct that also ASAP.

I'm ordering a t5 today. Will be here next week and I just had a laying bin in there for a few days. It was a garbage pail w8" L10" and depth is 12" and I filled it with a mix of substrate and play sand. Moistened so a hole could be formed. She went in a few times but never dug any holes.

She may be egg bound and you should get a vet appointment right away. Tagging someone more knowledgeable than I to assist. @kinyonga

Called the only chameleon vet in town and hes self isolating. So not accessible. How long do you think she will last like this and if she is egg bound is there anything I can do?

She will get weaker and weaker until she dies unless she has that clutch.

Personally, I would put the lay bin back in and dig a tunnel for her as she may not have the strength to do it herself at this point. Then place her in the lay bin facing the hole you dug. Hopefully she will appreciate the help and lay her clutch. Be sure to give her complete privacy. It’s even advisable to cover the bottom third of the enclosure with a towel or something so she feels secure.
