How close can he get to ur uvb light? Kinda looks like a solar burn... Very well could be starting to shed also.. I'd lean more torwards shed

she'll probably start to shed real soon.. mine get that when they are about to shed.. shouldn't be anything to worry about..

she can get 8" below uvb lamp and 6" below heat lamp

just read the temperature under the heat lamp that the pet shop gave me and its 95F and could maybe get higher so i will change this now, but she doesnt spend much time under there, she seems to sit at the highest point closest to the uvb bulb - is 8" below uvb bulb ok?

should i lower temp under heat lamp & keep eye on her back?

i would def lower her basking temp.
by doing this, you can reduce the number of eggs she lays.

though I agree looks like the start of a shed.

i have changed her heat lamp to a 60w household bulb and i am currently measuring the temp under it.

what source of heat lamp do you guys use?

and wat is the ideal temp? 85-90?

You can raise the heat bulb up to try to cool things down. As camimom says, you want it cooler to help reduce egg laying. You should read Kinyongia's blog post on keeping females. She's been doing it a long time and has had great success. Fewer eggs, fewer times laying eggs increases the amount of time you'll be able to enjoy your chameleon.

Edited to add: for a female, around 83 I think...it's in the blog.

Also, I forgot to say, I agree with the consensus that it's a shed. She'll probably be all white and crinkly in no time.

I would even push the temps to 85 basking spot with a range to 70...But that's definitely shedding time...Not a burn.

heys guys thanks for the help and you were right she was having her first shed, she was very grumpy for two days and stayed a very dark colour but now she is nearly back to her usual self and colour

here she is sat on her perch at the window with a bit of shed left around her face
