I saw the sunny d death trap on this site just yesterday and spent the entire morning today trying to perfect this tricky trap. :D

Unfortunately this made Skittles mad. Now s/he is hiding out in the branches of the hibiscus plant I have in the enclosure and is a bright yellow with disgust for my new contraption!! Hopefully s/he will get over this in a couple of days like they said on the site?

does that work for crickets to??.. because im useing.. a little
noodle cup like .. 10 cms high.. poke white a knife some small hole
with a little suction cap and hook.. and i think.. they getting out of that..
atleast he eats out of that cup..

Nice! Don't worry, she'll get used to it eventually. I see you're having the same issue that I was having with the first one that I made with the insects getting BEHIND the screen. It's always annoying when they do that.

And Jurjenfromholland, yes it works for crickets too. They're usually too dumb to realize they can climb the screen and hop out. Occasionally when your chameleon is eating, he'll startle some of the crickets on the screen, and they'll just JUMP on reflex and will get out. This happens sometimes with cup feeding anyways though, so it's no biggie. Works perfect for worms like the pictures from skittles.

hope s/he does get used to it soon. its too nifty of an idea for her/him not to eat out of it. Fingers Crossed!!!

I use ours for crickets and it works great.
