I want to give these a try. Where do YOU order from? I am a little thrown off by the shipping cost. In most cases it doubles the price of the worms! I don't want to buy a whole bunch until I know my animals love them as advertised. Please respond!
Thanks,
James
Phoenix worms aren't carried often by Online Feeder businesses because they charge 3/4 the retail price for their cups. And then half the cups die off before you sell them.
Just not a good choice from a business standpoint, but I have seen Calci-worms at Petco stores.
Feel free to check out SmallPetFeeders.com and see if there is anything we can do for you.
I've used them from mulberry farms and didn't have any problems....except I had gotten to many and they turned into flies before I could feed them all off lol which ended up being chaotic ...I didn't know how soon they morphed open the container and BAM flies in my face which scared the shit out of me...so I dropped the container and had flies loose in the house for like 2 weeks lol
I ordered through phoenixworms.com on Wednesday 10/26/11. Package received in Tipton, GA at 2:13 p.m. Processed in Bellmawh, NJ facility on 10/28/11 at 3:25 a.m. After that nothing!
Because of the weather, a hold at Post Office was placed on the order. Order was supposed to be received yesterday or today. The PO does not know where it might be. They told me that although Priority generally takes 2-3 days it could take 5 days. They said hopefully I will have it by Tuesday. I seriously doubt they will survive until then in this cold! This, to me, is 100% the fault of the USPS!!!
Update: Picked up package today. Minimal losses, these are some tough little buggers. Bearded dragon devoured them and looked for more. Gonzo, my Panther ate 8 from my fingers and stopped. My veiled has shown no interest in his cup as of yet. In the future, I will be placing my order on Monday to make sure they never sit around at the PO for a weekend again!
