plants with flowers

Wow... I had no idea...
I would have thought thorns were a No No. Very interesting... and Very exciting...

I am curious... It seems like our safe plant list is missing some of these that could be great options for use in cages. I had basically accepted that I need to stick with the "Big 4"; Pothos, Hibiscus, Ficus, and Shefflera, to be safe... But It sounds like, and I'm sure there are, A wide variety of other plants that could be used as well. Just the plants you listed above Brad, would add a LOT more fleibitlity when decorating cages, and also just added a couple more isles to my Lowes rounds. While I am browsing at Lowes I see so many plants I think to myself "Man that would look great in McLovin's cage" but I never give it a second look if it's not one of the "Big 4". Well the impression I am getting is that a lot of those plants we wonder about but pass up... may actually work great. I know our DB is still in progress... So I was curious if there is one somewhere that has compiled a list of Cham compatible plants that is more complete.

Maybe some kind of guidelines or checklist to run through to tell you if a plant is safe or not. I know there is a world of variation in the plant world so this could be easier said than done. Just thinking out loud... I would love to try some new plants!

I don't mind creating this list. As long as people can contribute the pros and cons.
I'll type them and put it on a new thread.
Best to do it now while i'm still on my sabbatical leaves :D

I would be willing to help as much as someone with little knowledge in Botany could. I am willing to do research, or anything else you may need help with Dodo... Just let me know.

ok, i'll start the thread immediately.
I hope all the members wouldn't mind to contribute their knowledge.
We all know the safe plants list.. but, i kinda want to know the pros and cons of the people who have the experience in putting that plant inside the cage.

This hopefully will be a list of specific plants compatible in chameleon enclosure. not, just a non toxic plant list.
