Hello all, I have noticed this bright green gel like patch along a section of my Yemen chameleons back. Does any one have any idea what it is? Thank you very much

How far down is his basking spot from his heat lamp? I dont know if its a burn or not... its a typical place for one but its nothing ive ever seen before. @Beman could help.

Here is a slight possibility. Are you letting your Chameleon spend anytime outside getting natural sun? If so, are you providing any kind of multi-vitamin supplements with D3 also? Because if you are there's a possibility that it's due to having too much D3. (If anyone asks, where I got this. I heard it on the Chameleon Academy pod cast just the other day. My Cham had the same kind of blister on his Casque) So it's possible he was getting too much D3.

This calls for a vet visit IMO. It could be a fresh thermal Burn. If it is it will require silver sulfadiazine cream from your vet.

In the mean time How far away is basking branch from the fixture and what type of basking bulb and what wattage bulb are you using?
