Just got an order of flap necks that are pretty dehydrated and thin. I cant get the worse one to drink/eat! I really don't want them to die! what do I do? i tried the shower and the drip system, nothing. i tried letting them hunt and hand feeding, also nothing.

they may need a bit of time to realx before they start drinking, i would maybe put them in a cage with a constant drip and leave them be for a little bit, if they dont drink i would try the shower again

Preoccupied stressed out chams don't drink.
Dehydrated chams don't eat.

They may respond to very frequent light intensity misting that coats denser foliage that they can hide in and drink while under cover. They may be stressing each other so separate them to give them the most privacy. Higher air humidity can help keep them from dehydrating any more, or at least slow the rate down.

They will most likely drink a lot before starting to show any interest in food.

One concern you may not be able to reverse is kidney failure. If these chams were in terrible shape long enough before you got them they could be in organ failure and not respond to re-hydration enough to survive.

female flap neck is dead. its eyes were all the way back into its head so i knew that was going to happen. the two males are drinking happily in the kitchen sink whiile im settign their new terrarium up. thanks for all the ideas. i couldnt get the little one to drink until under some leaves. I really appreciate the posts so quickly.

just a reccomendation, having the cages all set up before arrival is a big help, and alot of chams need the leaves to drink,

normally i would have had it already set up, but thinking i had one when i got home with them was a bad idea becasue my husband got a jacksons and needed it so i had to gather more stuff and open another terrarium up. the rest are doing great, inculding all of my senegals. seems they are all fat and sassy and one may be carrying eggs!
